City Reviewing Draft DMC Development Plan

The Destination Medical Center Corporation Board of Directors officially transferred the draft DMC Development Plan to the City of Rochester last week, marking the start of a 60-day review process from city officials. An updated draft is available for download as a pdf. An executive summary also is available for download.

Part of the city’s planned review process includes two public input forums—one at the February Planning and Zoning Commission meeting and a follow-up at the March City Council meeting.

Planning and Zoning will hold a public testimony hearing, similar to public forums for any other project proposed within city limits. The commission will then form a series of recommendations for the City Council.

Meeting information for the two public forums:

Planning and Zoning Commission
6-9 p.m. on Monday, February 23.
Mayo Civic Center Ballroom
30 Civic Center Drive SE, Rochester, MN

Rochester City Council

The city’s 60-day review period is scheduled to end on March 30, before which time the Council will submit their response to the DMCC Board for finalization and formal adoption.
