updated_savethedate_june12

Hope you can join us for an evening of DMC Community Conversations on Thursday, June 12, at the University of Minnesota Rochester. Below are the top five things we hope you will find helpful to know about the evening.

1.      What are community conversations?

This evening is dedicated time to allow for focused, deep-dive facilitated conversations around the DMC core areas of focus that are of interest you.

 2.      Who should participate?

Anyone who lives, works, plays, heals and learns in Rochester is encouraged to attend.

 3.      What should you expect during the community conversations?

Each area of focus will have a dedicated space with a trained facilitator present that will help to guide a deeper dialog with community members.

Session 1

5:15–6:45 p.m.

  • Livable City
  • Sports, Recreation and Nature
  • Hospitality and Conventions
  • Learning Environment

Session 2

7:15–8:45 p.m.

  • Transportation
  • Arts/Culture/Entertainment
  • Health and Wellness
  • Entrepreneur, Small Business, Commercial Research and Technology

Stay at one table or visit them all. You choose which conversations you would like to join.

 4.      Should I bring anything?

The evening is simple. Bring your ideas and be open to building a conversation with other community members around what you value in the DMC core areas of focus.

 5.      What if I can’t make it?

There are still many ways to join the conversation and contribute!

Twitter Chat:

Join us on Twitter. We will be hosting a “live” Twitter chat during the community conversations. Follow the hashtag #DMCIDEAS the evening of the event.

Email:

If you can’t join us in person or via Twitter, email your questions or ideas to [email protected]. We will add them to the DMC ideas database to share with the DMC planners.

Check-in will be on the third floor of University Square. We hope to see you there!
