July DMC Corp Board Meeting Recap
The Board approved a proposal from the McKnight Foundation to deliver sustainable energy plans; members discussed the 2015 budget for the DMCC Board and the DMC Economic Development Agency; they reviewed a preliminary draft of the DMC EDA’s 2016 work plan, and auditors from CliftonLarsonAllen gave a presentation on the DMCC 2014 audit.
What’s Your BIG Idea?
As Rochester grows through DMC, big ideas will compose a big part of the developments. To help nurture this growth, Mayo Clinic is funding the THINK BIG Challenge, in which amateur entrepreneurs compete for up to $50,000 in project funding and yearlong guidance from Mayo Clinic experts.
The Vault: Rochester’s Startup Hub
As part of Rochester’s transformation into a global destination for health and healing, DMC aims to attract new startup companies that will diversify the local and regional economies.
