Destination Medical Center (DMC) invites community members, business leaders, and stakeholders to DMC Exchange, November 16–20, a week of experiences, events, and milestones highlighting the innovation, investment, infrastructure, talent, and partnerships shaping Rochester’s future.
From health innovation and education to housing and transit, DMC Exchange will offer opportunities to explore the work underway across downtown Rochester, celebrate new milestones, and learn about the opportunities ahead.
“Rochester’s momentum is built on partnerships and a shared commitment to its future,” said Patrick Seeb, executive director of DMC EDA. “DMC Exchange is an opportunity to see those partnerships in action, in the companies developing new health solutions, the students preparing for tomorrow’s careers, and the housing and transit investments connecting our community. Together, these events tell the story of how Rochester is growing and invite people to be part of what comes next.”
The week’s events include:
- Monday, November 16 – Discovery Square Innovation Open House and BioLabs Ribbon Cutting Reception:
- Explore Rochester’s innovation ecosystem during a district open house held at One and Two Discovery Square. Get a behind-the-scenes look at the businesses and people behind some of the newest innovations happening downtown.
- Help us celebrate a huge milestone, BioLabs Rochester ribbon-cutting with a special reception. Meet the BioLab’s team and learn more about how BioLabs creates more opportunity for innovation in downtown Rochester.
- Tuesday, November 17 – UMR’s State of the Campus:
- Learn how the University of Minnesota Rochester is educating future health professionals and strengthening the region’s talent pipeline.
- Wednesday, November 18 – Link Bus Rapid Transit Experience:
- Get a closer look at Rochester’s future transit system through an interactive experience featuring a Link bus, station enhancements, and local art.
- Thursday, November 19 – Celebrating Downtown Housing:
- Recognize a decade of housing investment and look ahead with the groundbreaking of CityWalk.
- Friday, November 20 – DMC Annual Meeting Luncheon:
- Gather with community, business, and state leaders to explore the next decade of DMC and Rochester’s future.
For more than a decade, the DMC Annual Meeting has brought leaders together to share progress and look ahead. This year’s seated luncheon and program will feature guest speakers and focus on the next generation of health innovation, investment, infrastructure, community development, and partnerships. The luncheon will begin at 11:00 a.m. at the Hilton Rochester Mayo Clinic Area.
