Description

As part of the DMC Sustainability Series Rochester, in partnership with USGBC, please join us for a conversation about Zero Energy Ready Homes (ZERH) with Brian Wimmer.

Zero Energy Ready Home is defined by the Department of Energy as a home so thermally efficient all of its annual energy needs could be met through renewables. This session will help familiarize you with some of the details of a ZERH home and how spending more actually costs less—not just in the long run but through immediate cost reduction. Find out how you can build the house of the future today: Comfortable, Durable, Healthy, Efficient, Higher Resale.

Brian Wimmer has been building and remodeling for 40 years, the last 14 as the Construction Manager for the Rochester Area Habitat for Humanity. During the past couple of years, he has developed their build to Zero Energy Ready Home program. He currently holds certifications from the Department of Energy as a Home Energy Score assessor.
