Description
Initially adopted in 2015, the DMC Development Plan is a guiding document that is legislatively required to be updated every five years to inform and prioritize future DMC decisions. We began our 2025 update process earlier in the year when we conducted a ten-year look back analysis to assess the impact of the first decade of the DMC initiative. At our May joint session we had the opportunity to present the “look back” analysis to the DMCC board, City Council, and Olmsted County Commissioners and engage in deeper discussion around the “look ahead” phase to follow. The update intends to build on all the great work already underway in Rochester, the learnings we have made to-date, and an understanding of changes impacting our community. Most importantly, it will lean into what is unique about Rochester, home to the #1 hospital in the world, centering on our brand as America’s City for Health.
