Description

Gil Penalosa is passionate about cities for all people. As the founder and chair of the board of the internationally recognized non-profit organization 8 80 Cities, his work focuses on a simple but powerful philosophy; if you create a great city for an 8 year old and an 80 year old, you will create a successful city for all people. 8 80 Cities strives to improve quality of life by enhancing mobility and public space so that a more vibrant, healthy and equitable community can be created.

Gil will discuss the importance and benefits of active transportation for the community of Rochester as it relates to their recent transportation planning efforts.
