Destination Medical Center Corporation Board Applauds Five-Year Results

Development Plan update provides a look back, forward and COVID-19 Impact

During the Thursday, August 27, 2020 Destination Medical Center Corporation (DMCC) Board meeting, board members applauded progress achieved during the first five years of the Destination Medical Center (DMC) initiative. The Board previewed a required update to the 2015 DMC Development Plan, which documented progress in key metrics that exceeded first phase (2015 – 2019) goals in areas including private investment, jobs and tax revenue.

Project Bootstrap offers free consulting to downtown Rochester businesses

A team of seven experts is coming together to help downtown Rochester, Minnesota businesses respond to the impacts of COVID-19 and find a new path to success.

Project Bootstrap, a pilot program from Destination Medical Center (DMC), is accepting applications from retailers and restaurants interested in receiving free in-depth consulting geared toward innovative solutions to challenges caused by the pandemic.

Welcome Back 2nd Street

Major Connection to Downtown Rochester Reopens

Destination Medical Center (DMC) and the City of Rochester are pleased to announce the reopening of 2nd Street, a major roadway through downtown Rochester. The reopening allows for easier access to the downtown core and to shopping, dining, entertainment and jobs.

The on schedule sanitary and storm sewer project improved the existing infrastructure and created additional capacity to support planned development in the DMC District and southeast Rochester.

Rochester International Airport launches new direct service to Denver

Rochester International Airport (RST) announced that new, nonstop United Express flights, operated by SkyWest Airlines, between Denver International Airport (DEN) and RST will begin on October 1, 2020. The new flights will provide travelers access to United’s global network via the airline’s Denver hub. The Denver hub provides one-stop access to 37 new cities from RST. The daily route will be flown onboard a 50-seat CRJ200 aircraft.
