Sustainability presentation and discussion with Mayo Clinic representatives, Brett Gorden, Facilities Management Section Head, and Amanda Holloway, Sustainability Director.

Gorden and Holloway will provide an overview of Mayo Clinic’s sustainability initiatives including efforts related to energy, food services, greening the operating room, waste and recycling, and employee engagement. They will also share what’s on the horizon for sustainability at Mayo Clinic.

Gorden is the Section Head of Utility Operations, Energy Management, Systems and Infrastructure Engineering, Quality and Information Management and Networked Infrastructure Systems Support within the Division of Facilities Management at Mayo Clinic in Rochester. Brett and his teams are responsible for energy production, infrastructure planning and energy conservation on the Rochester campuses.

Holloway is Mayo Clinic’s first Sustainability Director and played a large part in founding Mayo Clinic’s Office of Sustainability in 2018. Amanda guides sustainability planning and strategy across Mayo Clinic to advance organizational initiatives in energy and waste reduction, water conservation, supply chain practices, the built environment, and employee engagement.
