This presentation will focus on how Denver’s Climate Action, Sustainability & Resiliency Office (CASR) implements its Green Workforce Strategy to expand job opportunities for under-resourced individuals through paid training programs and partnerships with employers, trade organizations, training providers, and community organizations in renewable energy and natural resource pathways.  Shannon will also share more about CASR’s inception and how equity is centered around everything they do.

As a member of the Office of Climate Action, Sustainability, and Resiliency, Shannon works to implement both the Climate Protection Fund and Green Workforce Development Strategy in Denver. Her goals are to create career pathways and expand opportunities for individuals from under-resourced communities and enable a just transition to support a climate-resilient and sustainable Denver.
